Short Answer

If you can’t place a trade, it’s usually due to market availability, insufficient margin, incorrect order settings, or account restrictions. Review the checks below before contacting Support.

Common Reasons You Can’t Place a Trade

The Market Is Closed

Some instruments are only available during specific trading hours.

If the market is closed, you’ll need to wait until it reopens before placing a trade.

Insufficient Margin

If you don’t have enough available margin to open your position, your order may be rejected.

Consider reducing your position size or reviewing your available margin before trying again.

Invalid Position Size

The volume you’ve entered may be below or above the instrument’s allowed limits.

Check your position size and try again.

Incorrect Order Parameters

Verify that your order details are correct, including:

  • Instrument

  • Order type

  • Position size

  • Stop Loss and Take Profit (if applicable)

Connectivity Issues

A poor or unstable internet connection may prevent your order from being submitted.

Check your connection and try again.

Platform or Server Issues

Temporary platform maintenance or server interruptions may affect order execution.

If you suspect this is the case, wait a few minutes and try again.

Account Restrictions

In some situations, trading may be temporarily restricted while your account is being reviewed or before it has been fully activated.

If you believe this applies to your account, please contact the FundingRock Support Team.
