News trading rules depend on your Program. On Programs with the news trading restriction, you may not open, close, or modify a position within 2 minutes before or 2 minutes after a scheduled high-impact news event. Selected Programs allow unrestricted news trading, and your Program guide states which rule applies to your account.
If you opened a position before the restricted window begins, you may continue holding it through the news event.
